What is the Difference?

What do you think is the difference between wisdom and discernment? Our group debated this last week, and since we are going to talk about Solomon tomorrow, I want to know what you think.

Is there a difference or are they interchangeable?

I just so happen to be reading James this week and he discribes worldly wisdom and wisdom that comes from heaven. Discernment would be the ability to tell the difference. The gift of discernment enables one to know good from evil and have some insight to God's heart. One who is discerning will always be wise but someone who is wise may not be discerning. Just my 2 cents.

discernment - to know right from wrong.

wisdom - to choose right.

"Then he saw wisdom and evauluated it. He set it in place and examined it thoruoghly.
And this is what he says to all of humanity:

'The Fear of the Lord is true wisdom; to forsake evil is real understanding.'"

Job 28:29
